LOCATION
The Green Hotel Golf & Leisure Resort is ideally located in the heart of Scotland's Golfing Country. It is just 40 kms / 30 minutes by car, minibus or coach from Edinburgh Airport and 85 kms (1 hour) from Glasgow Airport.
In addition to our own 2 golf courses on the Resort, there are a further 200 golf courses within an hour's drive of Kinross including St Andrews, Kingsbarns, Carnoustie and Gleneagles (venue for the Ryder Cup later this year). Our convenient location makes us the perfect base for your Golfing Holiday and we are happy to help organise your golf itinerary.
FACILITIES
Accommodation - The Green Hotel Golf & Leisure Resort has two hotels for you to choose from, the 4* Green Hotel and 3* Windlestrae Hotel. Both hotels have 46 bedrooms with en suite bathrooms and are located close to one another within a short 2 minute walk of the 1st tees of our 2 golf courses.
Golf Courses - we have our own two golf courses, The Montgomery & The Bruce, located in lovely parkland beside Loch Leven. For more details about the courses, look at the Golf section on this website.
Resort Facilities
Dining options - the Resort offers 5 very different dining options ranging from fine dining in Basil's, italian cuisine in Monty's through to our Boathouse Bistro located on the shores of Loch Leven. Regardless of which hotel guests are staying in, they are able to book and eat in any of the restaurants and bars.
Leisure Club - guests of both hotels have complimentary membership of our Gravity Leisure Club complete with heated swimming pool, jacuzzi & steam room as well as a fully equipped gymnasium.
Beauty Room - we have a spa where you can enjoy a full range of massage etc treatments if you wish to ease all the aches & pains following your golf!
Live Music - we have a wonderfully intimate live music venue called Backstage at the Green where a varied programme of gigs are staged during the year. Click here to see details of future performances.
Resort Activities - in addition to our own 2 golf courses, the Resort offers a range of other activities:
Trout Fishing - the Resort owns Loch Leven (13.3 sq km) which is one of the world's most famous wild brown trout fisheries. We have a fleet of 20 boats available to hire inaddition to equipment and a guide.
Curling - we have a 4 sheet Curling Rink which is open from September to April every year. It is home to Kinross Curling Club, the oldest curling club in the world dating back to 1668.
Walking & Bicycling - around the shores of Loch Leven is the Loch Leven Heritage Trail with a length of just over 20 kms. Loch Leven is a National Nature Reserve, renowned in particular for the numbers and varieties of birds. The Heritage Trail is ideal for walking and cycling - and we have bicycles available for guests to hire.
Other Activities - although not on the Resort itself, we can arrange Off Road Driving, Clay Pidgeon Shooting & Archery, Motorsports including Go Karting, Horse Riding and many other activities nearby.

Our standard Golf Packages normally include just one round of golf per day. However, in conjunction with Tyrifjord Golfklubb, we are delighted to let you play as often as you like on our 2 golf courses during your stay at NO EXTRA CHARGE!

You can choose to stay 1 night, 2 nights, 3 nights - or as long as you wish - and there is no additional charge for extra rounds of golf played. In addition, if you would like to play on any other of the nearby Golf Courses during your stay, we would be happy to help try to arrange tee times and pass on in full any discounts which we can negotiate on your behalf (no charge for this service!).
